PDAs, Bluetooth & Wireless

PDAs

PDAs or handheld computers stand for Personal Digital Assitant. These are portable computers which enable us to communicate and record information. They're used especially by doctors and proffessionals.

Advantages:-

* They're portable; remote use from places of work.

* They're easily carried.

Disadvantages:-

* It is a bit difficult to enter text.

* They're as much expensive as laptops.

These days, no one uses PDAs becuase it is old-styled and there're other alternatives which are better than PDAs like smartphones and advanced PMPs.

WiFi:-

WiFi stands for Wirless Fidelity is an alternative to Bluetooth. It covers as much distance required and it is faster than Bluetooth. It is a trademark which is used worldwide. Many application work via WiFi for free which are useful in our daily life.  It can be used to access the internet, send e-mails, download media from the internet. Devices are connected via Wi-Fi through an access point. Wi-Fi is available in almost everywhere including personal homes, hotels, public hotspots, etc...

Surely there're other ways to connect like the IR (Infrared Radiation). This is the earliest method so far to connect two devices in a very; very small distances.
